It's been a minute since I had the time to get started on a new book therefore I had been satisfying my need for words with our weekly Time Magazine.
The other day I started reading "Pleasure", the latest by Eric Jerome Dickey. A great fan of his work, as he is a writer not afraid to go outside of the box with his characters. Plus I love "Black" literature. Don't get me wrong I do not not limit myself in my readings.
My all time fav book is actually by "East of Eden" by John Steinbeck.
Anyway what are you reading?

THIS IS A BRIEF OVERVIEW OF WHAT IT'S ABOUT.
Sirr, according to Sufi ideology, refers to things that are mysterious, a secret, and in Sufi symbolism, it is the centre of consciousness. By connecting to this feature of our soul, we are able to achieve union with our spiritual self in order to better understand concealed aspects of our being, the people around us and the purpose of our existence. This book of poetry aims to inspire all those who are willing to accept the invitation to their inner worlds. Regardless of whether you are a spiritual seeker, a lover of Sufi discourse or someone who welcomes light in the form of words to brighten your day, The Gift of Sirr promises to take you on a precious journey of love, intoxication, hope and renewed consciousness.
YOU GUYS KNOW BY NOW THAT I'M INTO ALL OF THIS STUFF. SO FAR IT'S A VERY INTERESTING BOOK. IF YOUR INTO THIS KIND OF THING, THEN I SUGGEST YOU PICK THIS ONE UP.
GOOD READ SO FAR.
MY ADVICE TO THE LADIES. " BE SELECTIVE AND DON'T JUMP ON EVERY ERECTION "

Actually sounds like an interesting read @ Choc. Let me know your thoughts when you finish the book.
@ Anom OMG I'm only on like page 44 yet already I'm feeling this character Nia. It's her own love for literature and culture that has been intrigued. She's a writer...which automatically captured me. You will love it...You have to go get a copy so that we can talk about it.

I'm not reading a anything right now...I read different things such as newspapers and news magazines but no books right now...
I like EJD...but his writing has changed into more of a mystery thing and I stopped reading his books. I like romance novels.

@DABUZZ THE CONTEST IS AN EXCELLENT READ. NON-STOP PAGE TURNING ACTION FROM JUMP. BUT I THINK ALL OF MATTHEW REILLY'S BOOKS ARE GOOD. AND THE ILL THING IS THAT HE GIVES YOU ACTUAL FLOOR PLANS SO THAT YOU GET A BETTA MENTAL PICTURE OF THE LOCATION. AND ALSO TRUE ACCOUNTS OF UNEXPLAINED EVENTS IN HISTORY TO HELP SUPPORT HIS STORY. DUDE GOT SKILL.
UGH WHY YO WIG MOVIN?

@ Nassy
Thanks hopefully I'll get to fininsh reading it.
I have Robert Greene's Laws of Power too since last year. I just finished it this year BUT not all the red short stories on the sides. It's a book you have to read over and over like SUN TSU's "ART OF WAR"
@ DaBuzz
the spanish book I REAAAALLY want again is "For Better For Worse's LAUGH AND LEARN SPANISH" You'll pick it up quicker than Sonic the Hedgehog completing that book and its full of comic strips so its fun to do. You'll be laughing at what people say in spanish and they'll give you the look like "you know what I mean" while those who think you don't know and maybe laughing at the foreign language will give you the face full of scorn. You don't need a spanish/english dictionary with that book and it's only ten bucks
If you get a spanish builder workbook its back pocket book and you WILL need a dictionary
May GOD give you strength even in chastening.
